   The main research of the Department is devoted to the theoretical and experimental study of the effects that appear in various material systems, structures and devices at nanoscale.

  • Theory of quantum electron transport in mesoscopic conductors and insulators 
  • Micromagnetism and nanomagnetism for future memories and microwave devices 
  • High resolution MFM technique and development of probes for nanomagnet imaging
  • Electron lithography for nanoscale structures and devices
  • Optical and electronic properties of graphene and graphene oxide 
  • Resistive switching in metal-insulator-metal structures
